The Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2025 recognised outstanding organisations and individuals contributing to social change across the country. Hosted at Glasgow’s voco Grand Central Hotel, the awards brought together social entrepreneurs, community leaders, and policymakers to celebrate innovation and impact.
This year marked the 15th anniversary of the awards, with record entries showcasing the creativity and resilience of Scotland’s purpose-driven businesses. Keynote speaker First Minister John Swinney MSP praised the sector, noting its £4 billion annual income, 90,000 jobs, and £8 billion net worth. He highlighted the government’s continued support for social enterprises with over £6 million funding in 2025–26.
Winners included BRAG Enterprises (Social Enterprise of the Year), Re_Store Oban (One to Watch Award), The Highland Weigh (Environmental Social Enterprise Award), and Proud Futures (Diversity, Inclusion & Justice Award). Other awards went to Include Me 2 Club SCIO, DataKirk, Bùth Bharraugh, ESES Communities, Scran Academy, Charles Woodward, and Kanzen for Life (People’s Choice).
The Social Innovation Challenge awarded £50,000 to Thrive East Lothian CIC, with Kinlochleven Climbing CIC and Shore Psychology CIC each receiving £25,000. Sponsors and organisers praised the sector for its innovation, resilience, and lasting impact on communities across Scotland.
